This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to play a key role in managing cashflow and maintaining strong customer accounts within a growing organisation. The Role This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the sales ledger, ensuring timely collection of payments, accurate allocation of cash, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Proactively manage and chase outstanding debt via phone, email, and written communication Reduce aged debt and improve cash collection performance (DSO) Set up and manage customer accounts, including credit checks and credit limits Process daily cash receipts and accurately allocate payments Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies Raise and process credit notes where required Produce aged debtor reports for management Liaise with internal teams to resolve invoice queries and disputes Provide statements and respond to customer account queries Support the wider finance team with administrative duties About You Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable (2 years preferred) Strong understanding of payment allocation, reconciliations, and ledger management Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships and manage queries effectively Highly organised with strong attention to detail Good IT skills, particularly Excel; experience with Sage or similar systems is advantageous Able to work to deadlines and manage a busy workload What’s on Offer Competitive salary 35 days annual leave (including public holidays) Stable, full-time position within a supportive finance team Opportunity to develop within a growing business For a confidential discussion or to apply, please get in touch on or About Brightwork Brightwork Ltd, part of the Staffline Group, offers the services of an employment agency for permanent roles and an employment business for temporary roles.
