About The Role: It’s an exciting time to join us in our Installations Team. The role is based around the Newport/Cardiff area to support our operations in South Wales, with work primarily on customer sites and occasional visits to the branch and other UK locations.
As an Installation Supervisor you will lead by example and oversee all direct and indirect workers on site, including third parties. A positive attitude, flexibility and integrity are essential. Health & Safety is our first priority and RAMS must be briefed and adhered to by your team. You will ensure equipment is fit for purpose before installations begin and have the confidence to stop any unsafe acts.
Flexibility is required as you will participate in a call-out rota and may work overtime beyond a 40-hour week to support your team. This role is subject to a safety-critical medical.
Responsibilities
* Promote and demonstrate the company’s mission and core values to ensure a uniform approach across the UK network.
* Supervise all aspects of installation projects from conception to completion in conjunction with the solutions/sales team.
* Maintain liaison with the Installation Manager, providing up-to-date installation progress and addressing potential issues.
* Carry out on-site RAMS processes, identify risks, implement control measures, and communicate installation methodology to site staff and customers.
* On-site installation of pipework and supervision of installation operatives and subcontractors.
* Assist drivers with loading/unloading; maintain fitness for task and uphold on-site safety standards.
Essential – Qualifications & Experience
Must have the aptitude to work on construction sites with a good understanding of onsite safety. Able to adapt to challenging situations with a positive approach. Flexible working hours and availability for an on-call 1 in 3 rota, with occasional overnight stays. A current Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is essential. Willing and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, lone working, and with sewage.
Preferred
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Site Supervision (advantageous).
* SSSTS - Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme.
* IOSH Managing Safety.
* Forklift licence (advantageous).
* CSCS Gold Card (advantageous).
* National Water Hygiene Card (advantageous).
* Experience in hire or water-related industry preferred but not essential.
