Clinical Director – Operational Devery Network
Urology & Gynaecology
1 PA Post – 36 Months
As part of the continuing development of the Barts Health Group Model we are looking to develop Group-wide Operational Delivery Networks across a number of specialities. Following a successful pilot in Orthopaedics, Urology and Gynaecology we are recruiting into three year tenure for these key Clinical Directors.
To support the development of the ODNs, they will be hosted by a hospital, led by the hospital CEO. For Orthopaedics this will be Newham Hospital. For Urology and Gynaecology this will be Whipps Cross Hospital. Managerial support to this role will be provided.
Main duties of the job
The scope of the pilot will broadly operate under three headings:
• Optimisation – Responsible for overseeing the patient tracking list (PTL) and the sharing of data and information; understand demand and co-ordinating capacity; accordingly, and co-ordinating the workforce
• Harmonisation – Responsible for leading the harmonisation of processes e.g. consent, clinical triage, patient communication across the Group
• Standardisation – Responsible for leading standardisation across the Group including clinical standards, GIRFT, national audits, sharing best practice and clinical data on outcomes

Qualifications and knowledge
Essential criteria
1. Registration with relevant professional body.
2. Post graduate qualifications.
3. Employed substantively in clinical practice in specialty within Barts Health
4. Evidence of continuing professional development
5. A good understanding of the current context of health and social care, and of clinical learning and research
6. A good understanding of the specific issues in Barts Health
7. A broad understanding of the systems for primary care, social care and commissioning

8. Management qualification.

9. Worked clinically at a senior level for at least 3 years
10. Significant experience of leadership and management
11. A record of partnership working
