Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a busy and well-established housebuilder with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality homes across Northamptonshire and the surrounding region. With a robust pipeline of developments, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a key role in their commercial team.
Role & Responsibilities

Oversee the full commercial management of residential projects from inception to completion.

Manage budgets, cost forecasting, and cashflow across multiple developments.
*
Lead procurement processes, negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to secure best value.
*
Monitor costs, variations, and valuations to ensure projects remain commercially viable.
*
Prepare and agree interim payments, final accounts, and contractual documentation.
*
Mentor and support junior/assistant QS staff within the team.
*
Collaborate with construction and technical teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in the housebuilding sector.
*
Demonstrable ability to manage costs and contracts across multiple sites.
*
Excellent negotiation and commercial management skills.
*
Strong leadership qualities and willingness to mentor less experienced staff.
*
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, or significant relevant experience.
