We’re looking for a proactive and organised Team Assistant to join a busy Purchasing and Materials Team within a well-regarded Housing Association based in Croydon.
THE ROLE
You will play a key role in supporting the efficient ordering and delivery of materials and equipment by liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
* Manage material orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt
* Liaise with suppliers to obtain part numbers, pricing, and warranty details
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records
* Review and follow up on overdue orders and report significant delays
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies in orders or deliveries
* Support the wider team with cost-saving initiatives and procurement improvements
* Undertake general administrative duties to support the purchasing function
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a purchasing or procurement environment and be confident working with suppliers and ordering systems.
* Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain environments
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Comfortable using computerised ordering systems and tracking tools
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
THE CONTRACT
* Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
* 3-Month Temporary Contract – Potential for Temp to Perm
* The pay for the role is £17.28 per hour LTD company rate.
* The PAYE equivalent is £14.83 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.
