Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our members and guests while maintaining the standards of our kitchen. Our standard 7 day a week catering model meets the needs of our membership between 9:00 & 17:00. At Ulverston Golf Club we believe a work–life balance is one of the most important aspects for our hard working staff, and therefore you will not be required to work on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, or New Year's Day. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Duties
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
* Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations
* Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times
* Assist in meal preparation for special events or large orders as needed
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when necessary
Experience
* Previous kitchen experience is essential, preferably in a restaurant setting
* Culinary experience with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques
* Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality
* Experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not required
