Summary: Amazon is a highly data-driven company passionate about its customers. It is vital to ensure customers always receive their orders on time and with quality. The processes at the Fulfillment Centers (FCs) are largely manual, involving many associates. A critical role is that of a Team Leader who mentors and guides associates to meet customer expectations by following standard work practices, prioritizing safety and quality. In this role, you will be responsible for managing sortation and line haul infrastructure in the region, including identifying new routes.
Job Deliverables:
1. Daily management of shift
2. Administrative management of associates
3. Job allocation to associates
4. Monitoring and mentoring associates on productivity, quality, and safety
5. Analyzing data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve performance
6. Monitoring the status of problem-solving queues
7. Ensuring shift quality and implementing action plans
8. Preparing and executing training and development plans for associates
9. Conducting 4M and 5S audits at work stations daily
10. Implementing process control and improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen
11. Defining transportation processes from FC to FC/RSC
12. Ensuring sufficient bandwidth in the sortation team for peak delivery times
13. Continuously improving throughput and delivery performance
14. Standing in for the Area Manager
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Manage daily shift operations, including associate management and job allocation
* Mentor associates on productivity, quality, and safety
* Oversee shift performance and develop action plans
* Implement training and development initiatives
* Conduct daily 4M and 5S audits
* Act as stand-in for the Area Manager
* Plan vehicle logistics to meet delivery commitments
* Analyze metrics to identify and implement process improvements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience with Microsoft Office applications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
