The Running Account Manager will join our Running Specialist Team, working with exciting industry-leading products to deliver market-leading standards and enhance customer experience.
The Role
The Running Account Manager will manage the fulfillment of Specialist Sports commitments to wholesale trade accounts and other partners. The role will involve:
1. Managing a targeted list of Running customers, maximizing revenue from B2B and B2C channels by ensuring timely dispatch, on-time-in-full (OTIF), and handling daily queries.
2. Working with a northern UK account base.
3. Growing the Running categories through new and existing customers, including proactively developing current accounts and finding new business opportunities.
4. Collaborating with the Category Manager to forecast and control inventory for Running categories and related products.
5. Supporting Specialist Sports & retail partners' events and expos.
6. Partnering with brand coaches to deliver product technical training, promotional activations, and supporting retailers with technical content.
7. Managing and developing the Running customer order book to ensure timely fulfillment.
8. Maintaining the Running database of wholesale & B2B customers, ensuring accurate contacts and engagement.
9. Creating multimedia sell-in tools for the Running categories and maintaining the company's website with current product images, information, and marketing materials.
10. Handling general sales inquiries via all media channels and coordinating with the fulfillment team for prompt order delivery.
11. Performing other duties as delegated by the Category Manager, Sales and Marketing Director, or their designee.
The ideal candidate should have relevant trade experience and qualifications, an enthusiastic professional approach, and a personal affinity with sports, especially running. The role will be primarily field-based with frequent travel to our Southampton office. Specialist Sports offers flexible working hours with minimum core hours; however, working hours may vary based on role requirements.
The candidate should be able to identify the needs of both new and existing customers, develop effective communication, and support customer success using our products.
