Welder / Fabricator (TIG & MIG)Ongoing temp contract£16 PH PAYEOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator with strong practical skills in TIG and MIG welding. This role is ideal for someone who has developed solid hands-on experience in fabrication and welding, even without formal certifications. The successful candidate will be confident working from drawings, producing high-quality work, and maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform TIG and MIG welding on a variety of materials (e.g.
mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium)Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plansMeasure, cut, and assemble components to specificationCarry out fabrication tasks including grinding, drilling, and finishingEnsure all welds meet quality standards and project requirementsInspect completed work for accuracy and structural integrityMaintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environmentFollow all health & safety procedures at all timesRequirementsProven experience in TIG and MIG welding (essential)Strong fabrication skills and workshop experienceAbility to read and work from engineering drawingsGood attention to detail and quality of workmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable, punctual, and with a strong work ethicDesirable (Not Essential)Previous experience in a similar role or industryExperience working with a range of metals and thicknessesBasic understanding of workshop machinery and toolsQualificationsNo formal welding certifications requiredPractical experience and demonstrated skill are more importantWhat We OfferCompetitive pay (based on experience)Overtime opportunities (if applicable)Stable, long-term employmentSupportive team environmentTPBN1_UKTJ
