Tayside Psychological Therapies Service and Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) are looking to appoint to a 1.0 wte Band 5 Assistant Psychologist post to (a) contribute to a funded research project to evaluate suicide risk formulation training and development of a new model of suicide risk management for Adult Mental Health (0.8fte) and (b) support delivery of the CAMHS Dialectical Behavioural Therapy programme (0.2fte). The applicant should be an individual who is committed to the scientist-practitioner role and who is able to evidence both the clinical skills required to work with young people and adults with complex presentations and at risk of suicidality, and the research skills required to conduct systematic review, case note audit, and focus groups. The post holder will support research and clinical activity under the supervision of a qualified Psychologist. The post-holder will work across a range of settings within Tayside. The post-holder will have regular access to clinical supervision and peer support. The post-holder will have completed an undergraduate Psychology Honours Degree with the major subject being Psychology with a minimum of a 2:1 grade achieved. The post-holder will require to eligible for graduate basis registration with the British Psychological Society.
