Role Description
This full-time, on-site position is based in Letchworth, where the Transport Planner will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing transportation schedules. Key tasks include planning and organizing delivery routes, managing driver assignments, and ensuring efficient use of vehicles. The role also involves providing excellent communication with drivers and customers to monitor deliveries, addressing any logistical challenges, and maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications
* Experience in Transportation Planning and Transport Modelling to develop and optimize delivery routes and schedules.
* Knowledge of Transportation Management and Operations Management to ensure efficient vehicle utilization and smooth workflow.
* Strong Communication skills to effectively collaborate with drivers, customers, and team members.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities to address logistical challenges and prioritize tasks.
* Proficiency in transportation-related software and tools is an advantage.
* Familiarity with compliance and safety standards in the transportation industry is a plus.
* Ability to work on-site in Letchworth with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
