A precision engineering company in Poole is currently seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong programming and machining skills, particularly within the aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines with FANUC (or Siemens) controls
* Produce both online and offline CNC programs using CAD/CAM software
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to machine prismatic components
* Self-inspect work to meet drawings and SPC requirements
* Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with 5C/5S standards
Preferred Software Experience:
* Edgecam and SolidWorks experience is an advantage but not essential
Requirements:
* Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
* Fully competent in CNC milling operations and programming
* Experience with fourth and fifth axis machines is desirable
* Strong general engineering knowledge and precision-focused mindset
* Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and expectations
