About The Role
As a Business Developer, you lead and own the sales activities to either win a new logo (Greenfield) or to upsell into an existing account (Brownfield) in close collaboration with the Client Executive or any combination of the above (Hybrid). You are linked to a certain SVP, or a multitude of SVPs, and are accountable for developing and driving sales opportunities. You may work horizontally across all Strategic Value Propositions (SVPs) or focus exclusively on 100% Greenfield accounts.
Key Accountabilities
* Establish, maintain, and grow profitable business relationships within OB Clients and/or Greenfield Accounts.
* Identify New/Get business opportunities and uncover compelling reasons for customers to buy.
* Build and grow a solid, qualified pipeline of well-targeted opportunities with high probability to win.
* Leverage an extended network within prospects, vendors, and partners, and acquire new opportunities.
* Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to align priorities across the organization.
* Maintain strict sales discipline in Salesforce, ensuring accurate opportunity management and forecasting.
* Drive and follow up local lead generation campaigns – targeting new opportunities (Brownfield) and New Logos (Greenfield) with Marketing/Partner teams.
* Develop a new/incremental pipeline of opportunities to qualify.
* Support European Marketing campaigns and collaborate with SDRs for outbound lead generation.
Qualify And Develop Opportunities
* Gather customer/business requirements and assess competitive landscape.
* Set commercial strategy to maximize win chances or qualify out early.
* Engage with relevant customer stakeholders, often in collaboration with the Client Executive.
* Develop solutions with customers and partners in collaboration with Solution Leads and/or Experts.
Lead And Own The Creation Of Proposals
* Coordinate and steer the bid team to achieve the winning design with a disruptive and agile commercial strategy.
* Own internal commercial validation and lead/own customer interactions (Brownfield/Greenfield).
* Present and defend proposals, communicating value and strategy clearly and concisely.
* Adapt proposals as required during customer engagement.
* Lead complex commercial and legal negotiations when needed.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to build complex offerings based on commercial, technical, and legal best practices.
* Maintain strong business understanding of SVPs, anticipate industry disruptions, and communicate multi‑technology market developments.
About You
* Strong business and financial acumen with a proven record in digital transformation.
* Business‑oriented, identifies and hunts for opportunities in existing and new accounts.
* Good understanding of telecoms and IT industries.
* Client‑focused with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
* Team builder, comfortable working with diverse cultures in a virtual matrix environment.
* Able to innovate and find improved ways of doing things.
* Experience selling complex projects that bring sustainable value for Orange Business and its customers.
* Strong leadership skills, comprehensive management experience, and able to work under pressure.
* Passionate about the SVPs you are responsible for.
* Strategic thinker capable of operating at CxO level.
* Experience with a consultative selling approach.
Education, Qualifications And Certifications
* Degree in business administration, technology, or related area, or equivalent experience.
* Ability to engage at all levels, including comfort with C‑level interaction.
* Languages: English minimum.
Experience
* Minimum 3 years of client‑facing experience in telecom or IT industry, or equivalent.
* Experience in high‑level corporate sales of Managed and/or Integration services.
* Experience leading Sales/Solution teams throughout a sales cycle.
* Passion and understanding of digital transformation and adjacent business outcomes.
* Understanding of market trends, technical and business issues in the communication/IT industry.
* Experience with international projects and collaboration with global teams.
