Interim FP&A (3-6 months) Based near Windsor
As Commercial Business Controller - UK, you will play a key role in driving financial performance and strengthening commercial controls across the business. Acting as a finance business partner to commercial teams, you will deliver insight across pricing, promotions, forecasting, and trade spend effectiveness.
With a strong focus on promotional performance, revenue growth management, and planning, you will support commercial decision-making while ensuring robust financial governance and process discipline.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
1. Support budgeting, forecasting, and quarterly outlook processes across the full P&L
2. Ensure robust assumptions, financial integrity, and clear communication of risks and opportunities
3. Deliver accurate and timely commercial close and management reporting
4. Manage monthly forecasting cycles and track risks and opportunities
Trade Spend Management
5. Act as super-user for the trade spend management system
6. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise system usage
7. Deliver training and ongoing support to commercial users
8. Represent the business in internal system forums and collaborate with external software providers
Commercial Finance Business Partnering
9. Partner with commercial teams to drive performance improvement through insight and analysis
10. Support revenue growth initiatives across pricing, promotion, assortment, and mix
11. Evaluate promotional activity through pre- and post-analysis
12. Drive trade investment efficiency through ROI tracking, analytics, and controls
Forecasting & S&OP
13. Support implementation and enhancement of Sales & Operations Planning processes
14. Improve forecast accuracy and accountability across commercial teams
15. Contribute to short-, mid-, and long-term demand outlook processes
16. Support continuous improvement in forecasting tools and processes
Ideal Candidate Profile - Required Experience
17. Proven Commercial Finance / FP&A / Controlling experience within FMCG is essential
18. Strong background in forecasting, budgeting, and commercial performance analysis
19. Hands-on experience with promotions, trade spend, pricing, and revenue growth management
20. Experience partnering with sales and marketing teams in a consumer goods environment
21. Analytical and commercially minded, able to translate data into actionable recommendations
22. Advanced Excel and ERP system skills; BI tools experience beneficial
23. Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability
24. Understanding of S&OP and demand planning processes
25. Professional finance qualification preferred (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
26. Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
