Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Brick Lane School – London E2 6DY
Salary: Up to £53,200 pro rata (dependent on experience) plus £5,000 Welcome Bonus (Welcome Bonus payable as £2,500 after one month and a further £2,500 upon completion of your final probation; terms apply)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, overlap with core school hours. Part-time hours may be considered.
Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on personal circumstances).

Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our in‑house clinical team at Brick Lane School. You will:
* Collaborate with the education team to deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention for pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, are neurodivergent, or have SEMH needs.
* Work within the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working, guiding your practice within an educational setting and aligning with the requirements of governing and professional bodies.
* Hold a Speech and Language Therapy caseload with support from your designated clinical supervisor and site lead.
* Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
* Demonstrate resilience, creativity, and enthusiasm in practice.

Location details: Brick Lane School – London E2 6DY; Brick Lane School is part of the Options Autism brand and supports up to 76 pupils.
Essential Criteria
* Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy
* HCPC registered
* 1–2 years experience as a fully registered member of the RCSLT in a similar setting
* Experience engaging with individuals with complex and diverse communication profiles
* Knowledge of neurodiversity and trauma-informed practice
* Experience of multidisciplinary working in various settings
* Experience communicating with/working with families, relatives, and carers
* Willingness to develop knowledge and skills across SaLT practice
* Good relationship-building, analytical and judgmental skills; strong communication (oral and written); good time management and organisational skills
* Competent in core SaLT practice and understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards
* Knowledge of SaLT assessment tools, intervention types, and formulation of support plans
* Knowledge of relevant legislation affecting clinical practice and client groups
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Willingness to attend training and pursue further qualifications relevant to the client group
Desirable
* Understanding of sensory and motor factors that may affect communication
* Understanding of the relationship between arousal levels and communication
* Full driving licence and car access (highly desirable)
