Role Overview:
The Works Co-ordinator is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supporting drainage technicians to ensure efficient job completion and outstanding customer service. This role is critical in managing daily operations, communicating with clients, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Schedule and allocate jobs to drainage technicians, optimizing routes and resources
* Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing updates and resolving queries
* Liaise with commercial clients to arrange pre-planned maintenance and emergency call-outs
* Monitor job progress, ensuring timely completion and adherence to service standards
* Maintain accurate records of jobs, customer communications, and technician availability
* Support the Managing Director and in-house support team with operational planning
* Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors as required
* Assist in tracking KPIs and service levels using internal reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
* Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a scheduling, coordination, or operations support role (ideally in facilities management, construction, or similar)
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Proficiency with scheduling/CRM software
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Flexibility to support 24/7 operations as part of a rota or on-call system
Desirable:
* Knowledge of drainage or facilities management industry
* Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and reporting tools
