Single Parents Wellbeing (SPW) is a peer led, compassionate, positive and empowering approach to being in a single parent household with a focus on mental health.

Youth Events and Engagement Officers

Hours: 20 hours per week

Salary: £12,792 per annum (can be split into 2 roles of varying hours, minimum 5 hours needed)

Location: Cardiff or Swansea base, with travel to all locations.

SPW are leading on an exciting project that has received Mind Our Future funding from The National Lottery Community Fund. The ‘Mental Health Manifesto - Action for our future’ project is well into its delivery phase engaging young people through co-production and events.

They are now recruiting for one or two posts to help to continue to engage and empower young people from single parent households, through attending events, volunteering and continual coproduction.

Involve has a variety of schemes that engage people in need in Swansea. Involve recruit, train and support volunteers to be in a befriending/ Independent visitor role on a one to one or in a group setting to meet the needs of individual children, young people, families, adults with various needs or older people.

SCVS are governed by a Board of Trustees made up of representatives of local third sector organisations in membership, and co-opted people with specialist skills and experience, ensuring that the support we offer is relevant, needed and valued by the local sector.
