Main duties and responsibilities
You will plan, co-ordinate and oversee the delivery of a comprehensive HertSquad Club Sport Represent programme and be directly responsible for the effective organisation of the university’s involvement in the British Universities and College Sport (BUCS) representative student sport programme. You will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues from across the university to ensure the programme is embedded into the student experience and also provide support to student club committees in a friendly and professional manner to ensure university students engage in the programme. Skills and Experience You will have experience of working in Sports Development, and, or Sports Industry and ideally be able to demonstrate an insight-led approach to assist in the development of successful initiatives and positive experiences for the customer. You will have experience in organising and delivering sports development programmes and have worked or volunteered at sporting events. You will possess the skills to be a motivating and supportive to our student sports club committees/ volunteers and you will have a basic awareness of project budgets. You will believe strongly in adopting and promoting service excellence across all programmes and have a passion for engaging others into an active lifestyle with the ability to adapt to different situations. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organised, work well under pressure and be able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, busy and vibrant environment.
