We are looking for a competent Fire Risk Assessor, with at least 3 - 5 years’ experience of undertaking commercial and residential FRAs on both simple and complex buildings such as, but not limited to, high rise residential buildings, healthcare, education and large places of assembly settings.
You'll deliver fire risk assessments for a variety of residential and commercial buildings, contributing to the consulting output in this client-facing role. Reporting to the Associate of Fire Risk Management, you are integral to the delivery of quality throughout the FRM department.
You’ll also work with our site team to conduct intrusive investigations, and liaise with clients and manage your own FRM projects.
Main Duties:
* Deliver fire risk management projects appropriate to clients
* Carry out site visits, and create fire risk assessments for a wide range of structures and risk groups
* Provide services in line with technical policy and guidance notes
* Work as part of a team to win or deliver projects
* Attend client meetings and provide fee proposals
* Promote and ensure technical excellence within the company
* Understand and manage the scope and relevant programme constraints of a project
Key Skills and Requirements:
* Experience of undertaking Type 1 to Type 4 Fire Risk Assessments.
* Experience in validating fire risk assessments of ranging complexities.
* Comprehensive technical knowledge of fire safety legislation, and application of appropriate guidance required.
* Experience of project/contract management, ideally in delivering fire risk assessment projects.
* Strong interpersonal and report writing skills required.
* Experience of undertaking fire risk assessments in accordance with the Construction Design Management Regulations 2015.
* Minimum of Level 4 diploma in fire risk assessment or equivalent.
* At least Tier 2 on a competent fire risk assessor register.
* MIFSM, and/or AIFireE/MIFireE.
