Role –Production Engineer position
Location – Close to Newmarket, Suffolk
Working hours –
Sunday to Wednesday and Sunday to Tuesday – DAYS – 6.00AM – 6.00PM OR NIGHTS 6.00PM – 6.00AM
Or
Wednesday to Saturday and Thursday to Saturday – 6.00am – 6.00pm DAYS or 6.00pm – 6.00am NIGHTS
Salary – Between £30,000 - £40,000 per annum plus shift incentive
Capacity of role – Permanent position

Our client is a reputable organisation and they are looking to increase their workforce by adding additional Production engineers to join their workshop based team.
This role is a pivotal position within the workforce and you will be joining a well organised and established team. This company loves progressing employees internally and looks for applicants who want to further themselves in the workplace
Main duties will include –
To assist the Department Head in maintaining product output in the Lathe Area Department.
To investigate and where possible offer suggestions for process improvements and/or cost reductions.
To assist Lathe Machine production when necessary to maintain production output.
To assist in the training of new staff and progression training of existing staff.
To diagnose faults and repair Lathe Machines and associated Equipment.
To complete and update tasks using a Maintenance based software.
To provide assistance as and when required to any and all members of the Lathe Area team.
To provide assistance to Service Engineers as and when required.
To assist with any other requirements associated with the department.

Candidate attributes -
•Experienced in using a range of tool room / work shop based machinery.
•Familiar with CNC based Machines, and also have at least 5-10 years’ experience of working in a production environment, preferably on a 24/7 or at the very least, a shift type basis.
•Very good mechanical aptitude and be able to diagnose faults associated with Machine Wear and Component Quality.
•Disciplined, self-motivated and be able to work as both an individual and as part of a team.
•Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 and have strong communication skills, being able to discuss problems and issues with all levels of personnel.
