Requirements for applicants:
1. Minimum level 2 NVQ plumbing qualification or equivalent
2. Experience in demonstrating mechanical aptitude and technical ability
3. Ability to solve problems and/or offer solutions
4. Experience in working unsupervised, leading a team & overcoming challenges to get the job done
5. The ability to discuss technical issues with confidence and accurately record detailed engineer's reports and complete log books
6. Capable of physical work, lifting, carrying and climbing
7. Full UK driving license
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Plumbing works including Dead end/leg removal, replacing ball valves, installing insect screens, tank vents, fitting lids, lagging, replacing TMV's, TMV inspection & servicing, replacing taps, re-routing pipework, replacing water heaters, softener installation, equipment installation, tank replacements
2. Temperature monitoring of tap outlets and tanks/cylinders
3. Cleaning and disinfection of shower heads & outlets
4. Visual inspections of water systems
5. Water sampling
6. Analysis of closed systems using a site test kit
7. Chemical dosing
8. Cooling tower cleans, disinfections and analysis
9. Water feature analysis, sampling and C&D's
10. Descaling & internal inspections of calorifiers & water heaters
11. Cleaning & disinfections of pipework systems and cold water storage tanks in accordance with BS # : #
12. Mains injection disinfections
13. Softener servicing & disinfections
