Our client, a leading education provider in South Tyneside, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time Primary Teacher (SEN) to join their dynamic team on a temporary basis. As an SEND Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, planning and teaching lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils, monitoring progress, and contributing to a supportive and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with a team of experienced educators to create personalised learning plans that cater to the unique requirements of each student, ensuring they receive the support and guidance they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and effective lessons to individual students or small groups, adapting teaching methods and materials to suit their specific needs.
* Develop and implement personalised learning environments and programmes to ensure student progression at an appropriate pace.
* Organise the classroom environment, resources, student groupings, and displays to create a stimulating and supportive learning atmosphere.
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to each child's education and well-being.
* Assess, record, and report on student progress, using data to inform future planning and interventions.
* Participate in professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEND education.
Person Specification:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching across primary, secondary, or SEND schools/environments previously.
* Experience working with SEN children is desirable but not essential.
* Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and its application in an SEND context.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
