Residential Support Worker in Education
Location: Lichfield – ASAP
We are recruiting for a Special Educational Needs School in the Lichfield area to appoint new SEND support staff with experience in Autism, PMLD, Complex Needs and associated challenging behaviour.
Positions cover day‑to‑day, short and long‑term bookings. Candidates should have experience working with individuals with SEMH needs. As a Learning Support Assistant with care experience you will work alongside the class teacher and other staff to support pupils with everyday school life. You will also provide one‑to‑one and small group support, ensuring pupils are motivated, happy and engaged.
The school caters for children aged 11‑19 with a wide range of needs: Autism, MLD, PMLD, SLD and SEMH complex needs.
Key responsibilities:
* Support pupils in day‑to‑day school life
* Provide one‑to‑one and small group support
* Ensure pupils are motivated, happy and engaged
Qualifications & experience:
* Experience with Autism, PMLD, Complex Needs, and challenging behaviour
* Experience working with SEMH needs
* Care experience (preferred)
