Job Title: VodafoneThree - Senior Manager - Business Presales
Location: Newbury / London & *Hybrid
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri

What You’ll Do
To lead and transform Vodafone Business UK’s Pre-Sales function, delivering market-leading, customer-centric solutions that support businesses of all sizes in a digitally connected world. As a dynamic and visionary leader, the Head of Pre-Sales will shape a high-performing team that translates Vodafone’s technology portfolio into compelling business value propositions — enabling customers to thrive in an era of 5G, IoT, Unified Communications, Cloud, and Managed Security.
This role will be pivotal in driving Vodafone’s growth in the UK enterprise and public sector market, acting as a bridge between customer needs, sales strategy, and technical delivery.
As the strategic leader of the Pre-Sales function, you will define and deliver a clear vision that aligns with Vodafone Business UK’s commercial priorities. Your leadership will shape the direction of the team, ensuring it remains focused on driving value and innovation for our customers.
You will inspire, coach, and develop a diverse and highly capable virtual team comprising solution architects, bid managers, and consultants. Your leadership style will be authentic and visible, championing Vodafone’s purpose-led culture and agile ways of working.
In this role, you will drive a high-performing Pre-Sales organisation that is consultative, insight-led, and commercially astute. You will continuously evolve tools, frameworks, and operating models to support scalable, customer-centric engagements that deliver measurable outcomes.
* Collaboration is key, and you will work closely with Sales, Product, Commercial, and Technology teams to co-create differentiated propositions in key growth areas. As an executive sponsor and trusted advisor to strategic customers, you will translate complex technologies into meaningful business outcomes
* Staying ahead of market trends in areas such as 5G, IoT, Cloud, Edge Computing, SD-WAN, and Security will be essential. You will ensure these insights are reflected in the pre-sales strategy to maintain Vodafone’s competitive edge
* You will build and sustain strong relationships with enterprise customers, public sector leaders, vendors, and industry bodies.
* Your oversight of pre-sales engagements will ensure that solutions are technically robust, commercially viable, and aligned with customer needs
* A key part of your role will be to drive improvements in bid quality, win rates, and operational KPIs, while ensuring governance processes and risk management standards are upheld on high-value, complex deals
* You will lead talent management and succession planning across the pre-sales organisation, fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture. Curiosity, customer obsession, and continuous learning will be at the heart of your team’s ethos
* Finally, you will be a champion of Vodafone’s diversity, equity, and wellbeing initiatives, embedding these values into the fabric of the team

As a trusted advisor to strategic customers, you will translate complex technologies into meaningful business outcomes, while ensuring pre-sales engagements are technically sound, commercially viable, and aligned with customer needs. Your role will also involve evolving scalable tools and frameworks, driving improvements in bid quality and win rates, and maintaining robust governance on complex deals.
