Welcome & Service Assistant - Stourbridge

As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. You'll also be preparing the property ready for visitors and working collaboratively as part of a small team.
Salary: 12.75 per hour
Contract/duration: Fixed term contract until 31st December 2025
Hours/working pattern: This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We’ll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.

What it's like to work here
We're a small, friendly staff team at the Rock Houses so we all do what is necessary to ensure that the property is well cared for and provides a great experience for our visitors. Working supportively as part of a small team is essential.
The Rock Houses are set over 3 different levels, and the role involves a lot of movement between these. There are steep slopes and steps at the property that will need to be navigated.
We welcome over 55,000 visitors to the Rock Houses each year and offer a very special National Trust experience.
What you'll be doing
Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can by ensuring a great welcome when they arrive and exit.
You'll be working as part of a small team and will open the Rock Houses each morning ensuring they are ready and presentable for our visitors and opening visitor reception. You'll support with the setup of any events that are taking place and any other tasks that may be required. The end of each day will be the closing down the property and cleaning the visitor facilities.
This is a busy role where you'll be mucking in, adapting to changes and you'll need a willingness and the enthusiasm to put the great customer experience.
