Role Overview
Staff Nurse – Inpatient Mental Health Nursing (CAMHS B5) at NHS Scotland. The post is based in the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.
Shift Pattern
12‑hour shift rotation over 24/7.
Key Responsibilities
* Assessment, care‑planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care programmes using a strength‑based, recovery‑focused approach.
* Provide high standard nursing care to children 5‑12 experiencing complex mental health difficulties.
* Work within a large multidisciplinary team, supporting young people in recovery.
* Undertake duties without direct supervision, working in partnership with patients, carers and other professionals/agencies.
* Demonstrate flexibility within a dynamic and evolving service.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Learning Disability Nurse.
* Experience working in an inpatient setting with young people and families preferred.
* Positive attitude, conscientious, caring, considerate, compassionate, keen to learn.
* Live NMC UK PIN required.
