Job Advert Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Female Support Worker to join our incredible team in Whitley Bay for 20 hours per week with the possibility of sleep ins if interested. As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. You will support three elderly ladies who enjoy spending time together and having social interactions. They love going for a coffee, going to the cinema and going out for meals twice a week. There is no challenging behaviour at the service. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you'll play a vital role in their life. What we're looking for : • A genuine passion for supporting others. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships. • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities. Contract options : • Part-time: 20 hours Shift times : All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 6 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life! • Days: Between 10:00 - 15:00 • Sleep Ins: 09:30 - 22:00 Sleep In 07:00 - 10:00 There is a sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £ 63.70 for the hours between 22:00 and 07:00. *All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references. * Due to the nature of this service, we are looking for female only applicants.
