Are you ready to kickstart your HR career in a dynamic, fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment? We're looking for a driven and enthusiastic HR Apprentice to join our Swindon-based team, supporting both our Swindon and Dartford facilities.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle—from employee relations and engagement to data analysis and HR operations—while working toward a Level 5 professional HR qualification.
This Apprenticeship is a 2-year FTC.
The Role:
* Collaborate with line managers on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, performance reviews, and appeals
* Support day-to-day HR operations in Workday, including employee changes, audits, onboarding, and reward cycles
* Help develop and consistently apply ER policies and procedures across the business
* Assess risks in ER cases and ensure compliance with employment law and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards
* Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across operations, quality, and support functions
* Work with the HR Assistant and HR Manager to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement
* Contribute to initiatives around employee engagement, wellbeing, inclusion, and cultural transformation
* Assist with HR projects related to organisational change, talent development, and operational efficiency
* Participate in structured learning sessions as part of your Level 5 apprenticeship
* Engage in internal and external development opportunities, including CIPD sessions
The Candidate:
* Previous experience in HR administration or assistant roles, with exposure to ER casework and engagement activities
* A genuine interest in employee relations and HR within a manufacturing setting (preferred)
* Ability to assess risks and propose solutions in a regulated environment
* Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groups
* Proficiency in Excel and ideally experience with Workday
* Analytical mindset with confidence in interpreting workforce data
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence
* A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
