RTA & Personal Injury Case Handler
Contract Type: Full-time, permanent (part-time applications considered)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an RTA & Personal Injury Case Handler to join a busy and supportive claimant personal injury team based in Leeds city centre. This role offers the opportunity to manage your own caseload of RTA claims while developing your experience within a highly regarded legal environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing and proactively progressing your own portfolio of small claims track and fast track RTA matters from initial instruction through to settlement. The successful candidate will ensure claims are progressed efficiently while maintaining excellent communication with clients and all parties involved.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing a caseload of RTA claims from inception to settlement
2. Reviewing and responding to client and third-party correspondence and emails
3. Keeping all parties updated throughout the lifecycle of claims
4. Drafting and issuing legal proceedings where settlement cannot be achieved pre-issue
5. Preparing witness statements, hearing documents, and complying with court directions and deadlines
6. Assisting solicitors within the personal injury department with casework tasks when required
7. Delivering high levels of client care and accurate legal advice
8. Working towards individual and departmental targets while adhering to service level agreements
9. Supporting marketing and business development activities, including producing written content for online and offline publication
10. Participating in community and charitable initiatives supported by the firm
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
11. Previous experience handling RTA or personal injury claims
12. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
13. Excellent communication and client care skills
14. Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines
15. Experience drafting legal documents and court paperwork
16. A proactive and professional approach to case management
17. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
