Mechanical Installation Engineer Food Industry Equipment (m/f/d)
Job description:
* Travelling both within the UK and overseas, you will play a crucial role in the installation of the full range of our EMEA equipment on customer sites to ensure that it is built to the required specification, good quality and health & safety standards within the allocated time and budgeted cost.
* Main duties
* Oversee the installation and commissioning of food processing machinery at client sites:
* Unload or supervise the unloading of machinery
* Prepare the area where the machinery is to be installed
* Install or monitor the installation of machinery
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and providing exceptional customer service throughout the installation process
* Collaborate with our engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation
* Produce a regular report of site activities detailing progress and highlighting any issues
o Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the installation process
Required profile:
Your profile
* Proven experience in machinery installation or commissioning, preferably in the food industry
* Certification for safe lifting practice e.g. forklift truck drivers licence, crane operation and slinging certificates, powered access equipment certificate, etc.
* Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients
* Willingness to travel (at short notice) and work on customer sites both in the UK and overseas a valid driving licence is required
