Job Summary
This is a full-time post, but we would consider applicants looking for part-time.
We are currently looking to employ a Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager, full-time 37.5 hours a week, to support the Ward Manager with clinical and administrative duties on the Inpatient Ward at Pershore Community Hospital, which is a 26-bed unit. The role will include day, night, and weekend shifts.
The ward has a team of GPs, ANPs, RNs, HCAs, along with supporting staff in Social Services, Facilities, and Housekeeping.
Pershore Community Hospital plays a critical role in the delivery of local NHS services, providing more care and treatment closer to people's homes. The emphasis is on reducing length of stay while ensuring excellent, safe, effective, personalized, and compassionate care, meeting the standards you would expect for your family and friends.

Main duties of the job
* Responsibility for the day-to-day management of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager.
* Manage patient admissions and discharges.
* Evaluate and reassess nursing care according to clinical needs.
* Supervise, support, and encourage staff development.
* Facilitate ward audits.
* Assist in managing the ward budget.
* Participate in ward recruitment.
* Maintain personal and professional development.
* Ensure adherence to Trust policies, procedures, and guidelines.
