Duty Manager (Immediate start)
We are on the look out for an experienced Duty Manager to join our vibrant, enthusiastic, diverse management team. Cyprus Avenue Restaurant is in its 7th year of operation and is a growing, evolving business model. Responsibilities:
· Overseeing the efficient day to day running of the restaurant
· Confidently run a Saturday night service with 200+ covers whilst maintaining the highest standards of service throughout
· Assisting with profitability of the restaurant and maintaining the consistency of our food and drink offering
· Leading a full team during service being the main point of contact and assisting with managing 30 plus front of house employees
· Coordinate, organise and plan daily shifts and junior management tasks
· Present yourself in a professional manner and as a team leader to your team at all times
· Oversee staff training and maintain high levels of service, increase staff product knowledge
· Maximise the overall customer experience, build a rapport with regular guests and welcome new guests by overseeing a friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable style of service.
· Maintain high levels of customer service, update, evaluate and act on feedback reports
· Respond efficiently and accurately to all forms of customer complaints
· Assist with implementing and overseeing new systems and protocols put in place
· Assist with wage percentage costs, maintain and cut where necessary
· Manage the reservation system to maximise capacity of the restaurant
· Oversee introductions for new staff joining the team, organising weekly hours and become competent in our payroll system
· Plan and carry out regular staff training in all aspects of the restaurant
· Ensure high levels of cleanliness throughout the premises with a focus on attention to detail
· Oversee stock control system, take control of weekly order schedules
· Be confident using and enthusiastic about the social media platforms at Cyprus Avenue
· Competent in cash handling, completing cash sheets, overseeing managers are following correct system for cash up reports
· Lastly and most importantly, a strong work ethic with a positive attitude that reflects throughout the team daily and especially during busy times in our face paced environment

Requirements:
· Proven work experience as a Supervisor/ Duty Manager
· Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
· Bar experience essential
· Wine knowledge desirable
· Familiarity to restaurant software such as Res Diary/Open Table, RST EPOS
· Able to use own Initiative and delegate responsibilities and tasks between the management team day to day
· Full availability although there is an opportunity for a choice of 4 or 5 day work week
