Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager (DOE)
Locations: Risley or Milton
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000
Purpose of the Job We are seeking a Quantity Surveying/Commercial professional to join our team based either out of our Risley or Milton offices. The role involves delivering the commercial and contract management of our projects, from inception to final account. You will work closely with project teams and support functions, building strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners. Your proactive, enthusiastic, and professional approach will be key to achieving successful project commercial outcomes.

Reporting To Commercial Manager or Head of Commercial
Key Accountabilities Provide commercial delivery for projects based on lump sum, remeasurable, target cost, or reimbursable contracts.
Manage project cash flow and budgets.
Handle contractual terms & conditions with clients and supply chain.
Prepare interim applications and manage change procedures.
Negotiate contract amendments and review terms & conditions.
Manage subcontract accounts, review interim applications, prepare payment certificates, and assess potential changes.
Prepare internal commercial reports, including margin forecasts.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety regulations.
Qualifications and Experience Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (consideration given to candidates with relevant experience).
Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying within engineering or construction sectors.
Good knowledge of NEC contracts, especially Options C & E.
Proven track record managing multiple engineering/construction projects.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to develop strong relationships with project teams, clients, and supply chain.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Desirable Skills Experience with CEMAR Contract Management System.
Current SC Clearance or ability to obtain it.
Line management experience.
Understanding of nuclear process plant and equipment.
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel as needed.
