Description and Requirements

Lenovo is seeking a Business Development Manager – Sports Partnerships to lead strategic sales and partnership initiatives in the global sports industry. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, managing complex deals, and building long-term relationships with sports organizations, while collaborating internally to deliver innovative, tech-driven solutions.

You will report to the SSG Sport Vertical Director.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, trends, and potential partners.
2. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads through proactive outreach and networking.
3. Analyze competitive landscape to shape pricing, packaging, and sales strategies.
4. Lead the full sales cycle, including needs analysis, proposal creation, negotiation, and contract execution.
5. Develop customized, data-driven proposals aligned with customer objectives and Lenovo’s solutions.
6. Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders in sports and related industries.
7. Collaborate internally with sales, solution, and product teams to ensure smooth project delivery and go-to-market strategies.
8. Track activities and pipeline in CRM, provide regular performance reports and market insights to management.

Requirements:

9. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Sports Management, or related field.
10. 5+ years of experience in business development and complex technology deals, ideally in the global sports industry.
11. Proven success in digital transformation, sports analytics, emerging tech (AI, IoT), fan engagement, or smart venue solutions.
12. Strong network within sports, media, or brand marketing sectors is highly desirable.
13. Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office suite.
14. Strategic, proactive mindset with strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
15. Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities; adept at building lasting relationships.
16. Passion for sports, resilience under pressure, and creative problem-solving skills.
