Job Description
We're looking for new team members in the Forest of Dean who are reliable and responsible to allow them to build trust with their clients. You'll be visiting the same group of clients, allowing you to cultivate relationships with clients and their families in a friendly and dignified manner. We have a growing team of thoughtful, compassionate Care Assistants who are able to share their heart and be themselves at work.
To help clients to remain happy, healthy and thriving in their own homes, your responsibilities may include:
1. Companionship and wellbeing support such as having a chat and encouraging and helping complete activities around their home.
2. Aid with everyday tasks from cooking a meal to light housework. Helping clients plan and cook meals, check perishables and tidy away after meals. Light housework tasks may include vacuuming, changing linens and laundry.
3. Help to access their community by accompanying them to the shops or appointments. Clients may ask for support to make travel arrangements, order prescriptions or run errands in the local community.
4. Assistance with personal care and medication support. This may include assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming as well as reminders to take medication, medication assistance or medication administration.
Qualifications
You don't need any specific qualifications or experience to become a Care Assistant with Home Instead, we'll support you to learn all you need!
Must have a means of transport as clients are predominately cared for in their own homes, or would like you to accompany them on appointments or outings and can live in remote areas.
