As a Finance Officer, you will deliver cost-effective financial management, support, and contract monitoring for revenue income across the property portfolio. You will present financial information to support informed decision-making.

The Property Business Support team is essential in ensuring the division aligns with Property Council Plan priorities. The team comprises staff specializing in project management, data management, business intelligence, finance, customer services, climate, and procurement.


What will you be doing

* Preparing, assessing, and monitoring tenant service charges and reserve funds, including payment monitoring, expense calculation, end-of-year reconciliation, and balancing charge calculation. Advising tenants and collecting due monies.
* Monitoring revenue, identifying exceptions, and overseeing grant funding expenditure. Reporting progress toward targets and KPIs to senior management.
* Liaising with colleagues to monitor rent reviews, ensuring timely implementation to meet corporate income expectations. Monitoring rental income to ensure compliance with lease obligations.
* Processing receipts, fees, income, and related documentation to ensure all costs are recovered, including recharges for managed contracts.
* Preparing detailed project cost reports in collaboration with colleagues to support quarterly monitoring and departmental planning.


What we need from you

* Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience; ideally working towards a qualified Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification or with bookkeeping and accounting experience.
* Relevant knowledge and experience in delivering quality, cost-effective financial management and support services.
* Previous experience within a property team, construction, or facilities management environment.
* Experience preparing financial and budget information for budget holders.
* Knowledge and experience of financial systems, with proven IT skills and experience using computerized databases and monitoring systems.
* Strong interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
