Offer description

Overview

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work within the Angus community in our Adults with Learning Disabilities Team. The post holder will provide assessment and specialist interventions to adults with a broad range of Learning Disabilities, who may also present with complex physical, medical and psychological issues as well as those who display challenging behaviour.

Multidisciplinary and multi-agency working is an essential component of the post and on occasion there may be a request for you to work out with normal office hours, therefore a degree of flexibility is required.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Band 6 with experience in the Learning Disability field wishing to develop or consolidate their skills. The successful applicant can expect to be fully supported by senior staff through our established system of personal and practice development. We also have a strong commitment to supporting the Occupational Therapy team as well as supporting change and improvement initiatives within the wider learning disability team. Innovative practice, clinical governance, CPD and evidence-based practice are all actively encouraged.

You must be registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
