The Role
Job Title: Finance Executive (Accounts Payable)
Salary: £25,878 per annum (fte)
Location: Severn House, Worcester
Hours: 22.5 hours
Reporting to: Director of Corporate and International Trade
We now have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Finance Team as a Finance Executive who will maintain our company purchase ledger transactions.
Main Responsibilities
1. Process daily purchase ledger invoices and prepare bi-weekly supplier payment runs.
2. Process monthly staff expenses forms and prepare the monthly payment run.
3. Set up new suppliers on Iplicit.
4. Set up new employees on Iplicit and provide the relevant expenses and purchase order training.
5. Process all petty cash transactions and reconcile monthly.
6. Manage the finance mailbox to include resolution of queries.
7. Prepare relevant journals as required including following the small value write off process.
8. Manage transactions posted to the suspense account, working through to identify them and move them to the correct ledger within the agreed timescales
9. Assist in the preparation of year end schedules and Audit as required.
Ideal Candidate
1. Experience in an accounts payable or similar finance-related role, with finance experience desirable but not essential.
2. Proven ability to provide high-level administrative support, including data analysis, reporting, and use of IT systems.
3. Highly numerate, methodical, and accurate, with the ability to complete tasks and small projects independently.
4. Customer-focused with a professional, confidential, and diplomatic approach.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage confidently at all organisational levels.
6. Strong organisational and time-management skills, able to multi-task effectively, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills.
