Job Description
We are excited to share that we open two new services in Milton Keynes area
The role of a Support Worker is vital in providing support and care to the people we support.
We are seeking compassionate, reliable FULL TIME Support Workers to join our services. You will provide essential support to adults with learning disabilities and mental health diagnosis.
Your role will focus on enhancing quality of life, promoting independence, and providing safe, person-centred care.
We welcome both experienced care workers and those new to care. Full training, induction, and ongoing support will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Support people with learning disabilities to the highest standard and in line with their support plan, cultural needs and wishes.
* Support people to manage their own home, including supporting individuals with maintaining their tenancies and give support and guidance when individuals move home.
* Support people with personal care if required, which may include toileting and bathing, in line with their support plan.
* Support and encourage people to make choices and life decisions in line with the Mental Capacity Act requirements.
* Assist and encourage people to engage in everyday home, social, leisure and work activities, according to the individual's choice.
* Support people with their health needs as required, e.g. taking medication and attending doctor's appointments.
* Keep accurate and up to date records.
* Support people with their finances, where necessary, and in line with the company policy
* Promote health, safety and well-being of the people we support.
* Work positively with colleagues, families and external organisations and professionals.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
