£61,690 – £96,129 p.a. for basic 10 PA appointment, placement on scale depends on previous recognised experience. EPAs available subject to mutual agreement. No on-call commitment envisaged.

The Role
A Specialty Doctor post in Rehabilitation Psychiatry is available within the Community Rehabilitation Service in the Scottish Borders. The successful applicant(s), accountable to the consultant, will provide intermediate level medical input, delivering care and promoting a multi-disciplinary/multi-agency approach.
You must have full registration with the GMC with a licence to practice. For employment as a Specialty Doctor you should have completed at least four years’ full-time postgraduate training or experience (or its equivalent gained on a less than full-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in psychiatry (eg as part of a specialty training programme or as a clinical development fellow or specialty registrar); or you can demonstrate equivalent training, experience or competencies, either in the UK or overseas. Applications will be considered where the applicant is within 6 months of achieving these requirements. Approved Medical Practitioner status and MRCPsych are desirable.
