Job Summary
Seeking a Network Engineer with at least 5 years of experience, CCNA certification (or higher), and knowledge of network protocols, wireless protocols, SD-WAN, and SASE. The role is remote with occasional travel, requiring a full UK driving license.
This role involves working hours from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (GMT/BST), Monday to Friday, and participating in an on-call rota (1 week every 5 weeks).
Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure for high availability and security.
* Troubleshoot network issues across various layers and platforms.
* Support and maintain cloud WAF.
* Perform routine network maintenance and upgrades.
* Collaborate with IT teams for seamless system integration.
* Manage Meraki, Ubiquiti, and SASE solutions.
* Support incident resolution and maintain documentation.
* Travel to stations for on-site support.
* Stay updated on emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years in network engineering.
* Deep knowledge of networking protocols and wireless standards.
* Recent CCNA or higher certification.
* Understanding of SD-WAN and SASE.
* Experience with Cisco Meraki.
* Proficiency with network devices and troubleshooting.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively.
* Full UK driving license.
Preferred:
* Additional certifications like CCNP, JNCIA.
* Experience with cloud networking and automation.
* Experience with Ubiquiti solutions.
* Knowledge of network monitoring tools.
