Position:CCTV Operative
Location:Southern Water,Harestock WTW, Andover Road, Harestock, Winchester, SO22 6NR
Line Reporting Manager:Senior Transport Scheduler
Hours:06:00am - 16:00pm 50hour week
Principle Duties and Accountabilities:
* Drive and operate specialist CCTV underground pipe survey rig, working on private and public land in strict accordance with statutory health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Interpret survey results and prepare comprehensive condition reports to industry standards
* Undertake basic H&S vehicle checks at the start and finish of each shift
* Report all defects, accidents and near misses immediately to line manager
* Ensure all jobs are correctly documented with work tickets submitted at the end of each shift
* Maintain the drivers log book in compliance with MOT rules and procedures
* Ensure the condition of all issued personal protective clothing and equipment remains fit for purpose, clean and free from defects.
* Keep the vehicle and equipment washed down on a weekly basis, free from rubbish.
* Undertake ad-hoc duties as and when your vehicle is off the road or you are required to assist other field teams in exceptional circumstances
* Attend meetings, medical and training courses as required
Health & Safety:
Section 7 of the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) states the general duties of employees at work

CCTV Operative Health and Safety Responsibilities are:
* To understand and comply with the company health and safety policy
* To influence and promote a positive health, safety culture within the organisation and lead by example
* To ensure all works activities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with legislative, company policies, procedures and the works RAMS
* To carry out comprehensively and complete in full, all company required health and safety site documentation
* To ensure the company health and safety documentation is read and understood on the tablets
* Ensure VPRs are carried out and completed in full
* DRAs are to be carried out for every job and updated where required
* To report all health, safety and environmental incidents to the Line Manager within 2 hours of it happening
Qualifications / Competency:
* OS19X Qualification Desired
* Flexible with working hours (we can be very reactive at times and teams are expected to assist as much as they can)
* Must hold a Full UK 7.5ton Drivers License
* Standpipe Usage Competency Training
* Sonde Certificate
* Must have the ability to take on responsibility of working within very controlled guidelines and environmental regulations
* Able to deal with the public in a polite and friendly manner
* Able to work with a minimum of supervision and to receive instructions remotely
* Report into management when required and to complete work tickets, log books etc.
