Job Role
The post holder will oversee the delivery of the Greatwood alternative education provision, working with a wide range of learners presenting various additional needs. The former racehorses and other animals here at Greatwood form an integral part of the education programmes and therefore some animal handling and husbandry is expected.

Main Tasks
1. Take overall responsibility for the development of Greatwood’s alternative education programmes and members of the education team, including performance management.
2. Organise the effective distribution and direction of the teaching staff within the classroom and support the development of an effective and efficient team.
3. Develop and maintain a broad and balanced curriculum and range of interventions, in accordance with the needs and circumstances of the learners.
4. Facilitate delivery of alternative education provision to individuals or groups of learners.
