What is the job role?
If you're an effective communicator, have good computer skills, organised and enjoy helping people, this could be an ideal job for you.
As a Revenues Officer based within our Revenues and Benefits service, you will deal with a wide range of Business Rates customers. You will also deal with internal departments.
You will deal with customers over the telephone and by email, so you will need to have excellent customer service skills, a clear and friendly telephone voice, and be able to work well in a team. You will update customers' accounts.
Whilst our positions are open to all applicants, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role; therefore, all applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK. If you are on a limited visa, you must have a minimum of two years remaining.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?
To help improve our customer experience further, we are looking for a proactive and service-focused Officer to join our busy and fast-paced team.
Don't worry if you don't have any experience in Revenues, as when you start you will take part in our in-house training. Training will usually cover service standards, system knowledge, legislation, and corporate processes.
When applying for this role you will be asked to write a personal statement, when writing your personal statement please include experience and involvement of the following:
1. Customer service skills
2. Analytical approach and organisational skills
3. Knowledge and application of computer packages E.G. Word / Excel /Outlook etc.
