CNC Operator - BasildonPermanent | 37 hours per week | Up to £50k per annum + (including shift allowance)Talent Media is delighted to be working in partnership with our client, a leading high-precision manufacturing business operating within the defence and aerospace sectors.We are seeking skilled CNC Operators to join a growing team within an advanced precision engineering environment based in Basildon.You will be responsible for manufacturing high-precision components using predominantly 4 and 5- and 5-axis milling and turn/mill CNC machines, alongside general machining duties.CNC Operator Key ResponsibilitiesSetting and operating various multi-axis CNC machinesInspecting parts using CMM and other inspection equipment to ensure compliance with engineering drawingsFollowing company procedures, operating standards and safety guidelinesMaintaining accurate logs of production issues, machine adjustments and repairsMaximising machine uptime through preventative maintenance (TPM)Maintaining a strong safety focus when working around operational machinerySupporting production requirements with flexibilityWorking collaboratively with other team membersSkills & BehavioursHigh attention to detail with a commitment to producing tight tolerance, high-quality componentsExperience working to closely controlled specifications, ideally within defence or aerospace environmentsStrong communication and teamwork skillsSkills & ExperienceAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsExperience working to high quality standards on precision componentsKnowledge of manufacturing regulations and safety proceduresTime served and/or demonstrable relevant experienceWhats in it for you?Full-time, permanent contract37 hours per week, 3-shift rotation (Monday to Friday)Competitive rate plus shift allowanceCompany benefits includeing pension, life insurance, private medical healthcare, prescription protection eyewear and employee retail discounts33 days holiday per year, including Christmas shutdownGenuine opportunities for progression within a supportive, collaborative environmentTPBN1_UKTJ
