Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Lambeth to recruit an experienced and confident SEND Teaching Assistant for an immediate start.
The school supports a diverse student population and has a strong reputation for delivering tailored SEN provision within a mainstream setting. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team working across KS3 and KS4, delivering in-class and 1:1 support to students with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education who is ready to hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide targeted support for students with SEND, both in class and through small group interventions
* Work alongside the SENCo, class teachers and external professionals to implement EHCP strategies
* Promote engagement, communication and confidence in lessons
* Assist with social and emotional development, behaviour regulation and independence
* Support academic progress across subjects with a focus on inclusive classroom practice
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience supporting secondary-aged students with SEND
* A calm, patient and flexible approach to working with diverse needs
* Knowledge of autism, ADHD, communication needs or SEMH support
* Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff
* Teaching Assistant qualifications (Level 2/3) are desirable

* Easily commutable from Southwark, Croydon, Clapham and Wandsworth
