About the Role
Support Practitioner within the Turning Point Scotland Turnaround service, working to assist adults with complex needs around offending behaviour and substance use. Deliver person‑centred, practical and emotional support, helping individuals achieve personal outcomes in safety, community involvement, physical health, relationships and well‑being.
Responsibilities
* Provide one‑to‑one and group support to clients in accordance with agreed care plans.
* Encourage and facilitate client participation in meaningful activities, community involvement and health promotion.
* Work collaboratively with families, social workers, health professionals and advocacy services to support clients’ recovery and offending behaviour.
* Maintain accurate, timely records of visits, progress, incidents and incident reports.
* Sign up with the SSSC within 6 months of appointment.
* Comply with organisational policies, health and safety and data protection requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
* No previous experience required – full training provided.
* Strong values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* IT skills: competent use of PCs, email and Microsoft Office suite.
* Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (required).
* Willingness to register with SSSC within 6 months of start date.
