SEN Teaching Assistant – Durham Secondary School
Teaching Personnel is recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a Durham secondary school. Full time role working across KS3 to KS5.
What you'll be doing:
Providing personalised support to students with a range of SEN needs. Working 1:1 and with small groups, delivering tailored interventions, adapting strategies for individual students. Collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to make learning accessible. Supporting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
You need:
* Previous experience working with SEN students in secondary settings
* Ability to adapt your approach for different needs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proactive and compassionate approach
* Understanding of how SEN impacts learning at secondary level
