Salary: £44,700 rising to £49,716 per annum + Excellent Benefits including Government Pension
Hours per week: This role is 37 hours per week. However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need.
About the role:
The Resource Management Unit (RMU) plays a central role in the Force, ensuring police officers and staff are in the right place, at the right time with the risk skills to meet the needs of our communities.
The RMU works across the organisation, with multiple departments including operational policing leads, HR, Finance and the Executive enabling the delivery of Force objectives. The primary function is day to day rostering and abstraction management using the Force rostering system, GRS. In addition the RMU is involved in matching resources to demand, resourcing events and operations, forward planning, analytics, reporting and seeking improved ways to deliver policing efficiently, effectively and visibly. This role will be responsible for the tactical, longer term planning and continuous improvement work required to meet the organisational expectations.
The assessment will take place in the form of a 10-minute presentation with the topic/question to be given on the day. There will be a 30-minute preparation period.
