* Liaise with the client’s Environment team, Highway Designers, Programme Delivery team, and their respective client, National Highways
* Lead weekly team resourcing and progress meetings
* Manage contract inbox, respond to queries, and maintain the delivery tracker
* Review task briefs and produce fee proposals in line with NH requirements
* Contribute to bids and work-winning activities
* Input into programmes, attend progress meetings, and coordinate site work
* Manage change processes, raise EWNs and CEs as needed
* Monitor progress and ensure timely delivery of reports
* Support the client in workload management across the team
* Stay updated with industry best practices
The ideal candidate will operate independently, seeking minimal supervision, and mentor junior staff.
* Hold an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science or a related field
* Have project management experience, preferably in environmental projects within the transport sector (highways experience is desirable)
* Be a member of a professional body or have relevant qualifications leading to membership (e.g., IEMA, IES, APM)
* Have experience working in a multidisciplinary environment with environmental disciplines, design teams, clients, and stakeholders
* Experience with contract management tools like CEMAR is a plus
* Be capable of managing budgets, resources, and workloads to deliver project stages on time and within budget
* Possess strong communication skills, with the ability to discuss environmental issues clearly and manage risks
* Be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Project and Excel
* Have excellent presentation skills
* Be forward-thinking and interested in developing efficient team workflows
* Experience in collaborative or joint venture environments is highly desirable
